Massive Dynamic is a multi-billion-dollar corporation from the Fringe TV series universe, responsible for development and production of weapons, robotics, medical equipment, aeronautics, genetics, pharmaceuticals, telecommunication, energy, transportation, and entertainment technology. It was founded by the partnership of William Bell and Walter Bishop. After a lab accident, Bishop was sent to a mental institution, and Bell went on to form Massive Dynamic.

With the company slogan, “What do we do? What don’t we do!”, Massive Dynamic became a multinational conglomerate, playing a huge role in paranormal scientific studies. The company develops a varied amount of products, including the advancement of weapons testing, robotics, medical equipment, aeronautics, genetics, pharmaceuticals, telecommunication, energy, transportation, and entertainment technology.

Massive Dynamic is frequently involved, sometimes heavily, sometime tangentially, with The Pattern, a special branch of Homeland Security, which consist of Olivia Dunham, Peter Bishop, Walter Bishop, and Astrid Farnsworth- that investigates “Fringe Events”, a codename for unexplained phenomenon. The most obvious connection between Massive Dynamic and The Pattern is the relationship between Walter Bishop, whose falling out with William Bell led to the company’s creation, and Nina Sharp, who is the Executive Director of Massive Dynamic.
Massive Dynamic’s offices are housed in New York with the company’s worth estimated at $50 billion.
