Ripley eventually discovers what Company loyalty means aboard the Nostromo. Special Order 937 gives priority to returning the organism and treats the crew as expendable, with Ash there to protect those orders.
The missing “d” remains intentional: this is the 1979 Weylan-Yutani identity, before the later spelling became Weyland-Yutani.
