LANDSAT is the corporation sent to investigate Skull Island, after reports a huge monster inhabited the island. Their expedition landed with members of MONARCH, who were also there to investigate, with ulterior motives.

The LANDSAT Program is the longest-running enterprise for acquisition of satellite imagery of Earth, and is used to track MUTO’s (Massive Unidentified Terrestrial Organisms).

The LANDSAT logo is seen on computer screens, uniforms and scientific equipment belonging to the expedition.
