“Commander Keen in Invasion of the Vorticons: Episode 1 – Marooned on Mars” is a platform game developed by id Software and published by Apogee Software in 1990. Created by John Carmack and Tom Hall, it is the first episode in the “Commander Keen” series and follows the adventures of an eight-year-old boy genius named Billy Blaze, also known as Commander Keen.

In “Commander Keen 1,” players take on the role of Billy Blaze, a young boy who transforms into the heroic Commander Keen using his homemade spaceship, the Bean-with-Bacon Megarocket. The game begins with Billy’s parents leaving him at home while they attend a party, and he decides to explore Mars with his spaceship. However, he soon discovers that the alien race known as the Vorticons has taken control of the planet.
