“Space Quest I: The Sarien Encounter” is the first installment in the comedic science fiction adventure game series, “Space Quest,” developed and published by Sierra On-Line in 1986. Created by the “Two Guys from Andromeda” (Scott Murphy and Mark Crowe), the game follows the misadventures of a hapless space janitor named Roger Wilco.
In “Space Quest I,” players assume the role of Roger Wilco, a lowly janitor aboard the spaceship Arcada. When the ship comes under attack by the sinister Sariens, Roger becomes humanity’s unlikely hero, tasked with saving the universe from their evil plans.
